What is my LINCC username and password, and how do I log in?
CCLA assigns a unique LINCC username to each library staff member. The username is used to provide or restrict access
to LINCC's various library management tools (e.g., circulation, acquisitions, etc.) and to certain proprietary
information. CCLA designs most its products and services to operate using your same LINCC username, thus
eliminating the need for you to remember different usernames for each service. Unless you are a relatively new
library staff member, or have never had a LINCC account, your username is already preloaded into
LINCCLearn.
- Logging in to the LINCCLearn Online Learning Center - At the log-in screen for the Online Learning Center, enter your LINCC username in both the
"LINCC User Name" and "Password" fields. After you've logged in for the first time, you may you change your password
if desired.
- Logging in to Web-based courses - LINCCLearn's Web-based courses operate using Blackboard
software and require separate logins for both the Online Learning Center and for Blackboard. To register for
Web-based courses, follow the instructions above for logging in to the Online Learning Center and then use the
"Course" tab or the "Schedule" tab to register for a Web-based course. When you are ready to begin the
Web-based course, you will have to log in to Blackboard using your LINCC username and the password that
you currently use to access the legacy LINCC system.
Remember, if you forget your password, simply click on the "Forgot my password" link on the login screens. If you experience
difficulties logging in to any part of the LINCCLearn Web site, contact
CCLA's Service Desk.

Who, if anyone, has to approve my course registration?
You may register for Web-based courses without prior approval.
All registrations for instructor-led courses
must have approval from both your institution's Administrative
contact and the course's instructor. When you register for an instructor-led course, you and your Administrative
contact will receive system-generated e-mails confirming your registration request. When your request has been
approved by your Administrative contact, you will receive additional e-mail notification. After that approval,
the course's instructor will approve or disapprove your request (or place you on a waiting list if the course
that you're requesting is full). You will receive e-mail notification once the course instructor has approved
your registration request.

Do any courses have prerequisites?

course to start/complete it. How do I do that?
If you have enrolled in a Web-based course, you may return directly to Blackboard to finish the course by
going to the LINCCLearn home page and selecting the "Already registered.
Take me to Web-based training" button. You will be taken to the login screen for Web-based training (Blackboard)
where you can return to, or begin, your Web-based course.

What if the course that I wish to take is already full?
If the course that you wish to take is already full, you can still register using the "Schedule" tab in the
LINCCLearn Online Learning Center. You will be placed on a waiting list and notified by e-mail if a seat
in the class becomes available.

What happens if I show up to a training session that I'm not registered for?
Registration is mandatory for attendance at all LINCCLearn instructor-led courses. Preference for seating and
student workstations will be given to those library staff who have received confirmation of their course registration.
As a result, if you show up for a training session for which you have not registered, it is possible that that you not
have access to a student workstation or necessary course materials. Further, you will not receive a record of attendance or a certification of training completion.
Therefore, it is requested that you not attend instructor-led training without first having received
confirmation of your registration and seat availability.
